Start-up visa

Age: Under 25
Visa Type: Start up
Challenge: Expiration of his Tier 4 Student visa, very strict deadline to prepare the case and
apply for Start-up visa

The client was in the UK on a Tier 4 Student visa. Before graduating from the University, he
scheduled a consultation with one of our lawyers to see his options to stay in the UK after
studies. As his student visa was valid until April 2021, he was not eligible to apply for
Graduate visa (also known as a post-study work visa). Graduate route only opened for
students who have successfully completed their course and held valid permission to stay in
the UK on or after 1 July 2021.
We then offered him a start-up visa and explained that London not only remains Europe’s top
start-up hub, but also is ranked as the world’s second start-up hub after New York. Our
client’s University entrepreneur’s hub assisted him with obtaining his endorsement after
successfully presenting his business plan and helping him prepare the required documents.
We assisted him with his visa application and documents submission stages. He studied
Marketing, Communications and Digital Branding and now runs his own company in
London. He is wishing to apply for Innovator visa within one year and get his Indefinite leave
to remain after 3 years of lawfully residing in the UK on an innovator visa.
